Deepwell, or Deepwell Estates, neighborhood is steep with history. Originally an apricot orchard in 1926 with the deepest well in Coachella Valley at 630 feet. Named after this feat, the subdivision eventually became the playground of many famous architects (Donald Wexler, E Stewart Williams, Stan Sackley, and Hugh Kaptur) and many famous celebrities such as Libarace, Jerry Lewis, Marjorie Main, William Holden and Eva Gabor.
