Built in 1960 by Trudy Richard Company and designed by modernist architect Barry Berkus, Park Imperial South is the quintessential midcentury Palm Springs community. Known for it’s iconic midcentury style, folded plate roofs, terrazzo flooring and decorative block walls, Park Imperial South was Barry Berkus’ very first project at 25 years old. Each of the 30 units has the identical 1,426 square foot floor plan (unaltered) with spacious outdoor private courtyards. As of 2016, Park Imperial South received it’s Historical Designation.
